As for what data is collected, that's pretty much anything you enter in a field on my website. Your name, email address, message, and that subject line on the Contact form. I don't plan to do anything with it other than contact you. I've had my data sold and it's not fun. I've also been on ignorant websites that are nationally known, but act like they picked their IT staff off an assembly line because they don't know a thing about security.
It's been a while since I've been active on my blog, but with good reason. I've been busy. My beta reader has finished her read of all three books. Also, the covers are complete. Edits for books one and two are done, so I'm just waiting for the edits on the third book, which I should get back around middle of next month. If all goes well, I'm looking at a tentative release date for all three (YES! All 3 books) around Labor Day weekend. That's the hope, anyway.
I've been debating on whether or not to stretch this out to a fourth book because technically, it could go that route. I have a fourth book written, but I'm not sure if it holds up to the fun and excitement of the first three. So, it'll be a debate on whether or not I release it. Honestly, I could stop the books at three and the story would hold up just fine. The only reason why I did an extra book was because I wanted to know what would happen if my main character didn't get her happy ending like she had envisioned. There are als...
In preparation for my new series, I need to make some changes to my website. Not a lot, but enough to be noticeable. Those will be coming as soon as possible. Project Solstice will still be available, but I want to make sure it's clear that my new books won't be alien oriented.
Speaking of which, the Viability Series is going to be my latest and greatest project and I'm hoping to have the first book released Spring 2016. That's as clear as I can be right now because I'm still in the process of writing the fourth book and my beta reader has just finished going through the first book. None of the books have been through official, yet, but I'm getting there. I've narrowed down who I want to be a part of my publishing team (i.e. proof reader, copy editor, content editor, cover artist, etc.), so that's huge in itself. There's a lot of work left to do with making sure this is ready for prime time.
The good news is that there will be at least four books in the series. The schedule is up in th...
It's been a long time in coming, but it's finally here. Space 51 is now available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble,Smashwords. I still have hopes for iTunes, but I've lost the links--I have no idea how, since they were there before--for all of my books in iTunes. Go figure that one.
Also, I have another project in the works that's a different--sort of--science fiction, but fun all the same. I don't normally like to talk about my projects because I don't want to jinx them, but I've already completed the first draft on three novels. So, I already know that it'll be three books long. I'll have more news about that later. So in the meantime, I hope you enjoy Space 51.
Ava Frost has a new mission and a new enemy. To stop the impending alien invasion of Earth, she and her brother Elias must use their special connection to computerized consciousness Ian 2 to infiltrate Space 51, an illegal base in orbit around Saturn’s moon.
The human alien hybrids on Space 51 could play a vital role in defeating a hostile alien race that nearly wiped them all out once…and plans to try again. But can they be trusted? As Ava struggles to figure out if working with the human aliens of Space 51 is enough to stave off the coming invasion, she becomes the target of a malevolent telepath who may be eavesdropping on her every conversation.
Needing to escape the telepath and severe the connection, Ava returns to Earth with Elias and discovers information about a secret sect of humans called MJ-21, which was initially formed on Earth but eventually abandoned it due to political dissention. Their mission is to maintain a presence among the human alien races throughout the...
I just wanted to give a quick update on Space 51. My edits are complete and I've sent it off to my editor. The blurb is being worked on as well as the cover art. Next step is to work on some marketing and promo to get the word out. Of course, I could always use your help with that.
Once I have everything back, I can focus on a release date. Being that this is indie-pubbed, I can guarantee that it won't be June 2016 like most NY publishers. I'm thinking around mid-January 2016, if not sooner. Blame the holidays for that, though it's not a bad thing.
So here's to hoping this helps to make your Christmas.
I had put Space 51 up for pre-sale (or whatever it's called) on Amazon and other places. The hope was to have it completed by June 2016. It was a personal goal, really.
Well, there's a good chance that goal will be met sooner rather than later. If all goes well, no later than February 2016. Of course, that depends upon things like actually finishing the book, which is closer than you think. There are also things like getting an editor, putting together an exciting blurb, and securing the right cover art. It's not easy, but I want it done right and not haphazardly or half-heartedly. As a reader, you deserve that much from me.
Now the part that sucks is that I don't have anything planned beyond Space 51 and there's a good reason for that. I haven't gotten to the end of it yet. Honestly, there are less than 5,000 words to go, but I need to make sure all of the loose ends are tied up this time. If I push this into a fifth or sixth book, I don't want anything hanging between those books.
There will be a fourth book. I swear. But unless my schedule frees up, it might not come out until June 2016. My first attempt at the fourth book turned out terrible. At least, I thought it had. The second one wasn't too much better. In all honesty, I had lost my direction. But it's coming back and so is my focus for this series. So, there will be a fourth book. And if I have my way about it, I won't stop there.
Now, there is some good news. If I can get some other projects completed that I'm currently working on, there's a good chance that I'll be able to release by the end of the year. But again, that depends on my other projects as well as if I can get an editor and the cover art done in a reasonable amount of time. So, keep your fingers crossed.
Oh, and before I forget, a HUGE thank you to all of those who have purchased my book and left incredible reviews on Amazon. I couldn't be happier with the results and hope you continue to enjoy my Project Solstice series.
